Just a $240 donation per student will provide:

  • uniforms and shoes for the student
  • books, bookbag, and school materials for the student
  • helps pay our teachers, custodian, and security guard
  • helps supply the school with materials and supplies

Attending school is such a privilege for these students. When children don't attend school, it's not out of laziness or apathy; it's due to lack of resources. Typically, schools receive some level of government support. But the Piton Community School is located at the top of a 3,500 ft mountain with no paved road. When we started working with the village in 2014, the school was overlooked for governmental support; receiving little to no help. Too often staff went unpaid, buildings remained unrepaired, and projects and plans unrealized.

As the years have passed, we've worked out ways to support the school through various methods to good success. With the political chaos roiling the country the past few  years, the village of Piton and its school has been relatively stable with our lunch program, medical clinic, and water & solar project. In fact, the village and the school have taken in many new families fleeing the violence of Port-au-Prince and nearby Petit Goâve. Now we're taking it to the next level!

How it works:

  • A sponsorship costs $240 per student per year.
  • We welcome payments at $20/month/student for 12 months or payments in one lump sum.
  • When you choose to support this program, the donation pages allow you to choose to support a boy, girl, or "no preference."
  • Aid to Infrastructure will send you a photo or photos of the individual student(s) you are supporting.
  • You'll also receive a link for a page to which only you will have access to see photos of your student(s).
